We help older adults keep up with daily needs at home.
Helping an older parent or family member often starts with the small things. You may bring over a meal or help them get ready for an appointment. But over time, those visits may come to involve more care than you can manage alone. If you’re considering care for elderly family members, we’re here to discuss the help available.
At St. Matthew’s Direct Care Services, we provide in-home support in Bossier City, Louisiana. Our family-owned company has been serving clients since 2008. We’ll talk with you about your concerns and hear from your family member about what they want help with.
Care for elderly family members may mean getting help with:
- Personal care: Washing, getting dressed, and keeping up with grooming.
- Meals: Making something to eat and lending a hand at mealtimes.
- Getting around: Walking through the house or moving between a bed and chair.
- Cleaning: Assistance with basic household chores.
- Companionship: Time for conversation and company at home.
When you call us for care, we begin with a meet and greet, either in the client’s home or at our office. Simply bring any questions you may have and tell us what a typical day looks like. We’ll use that discussion to develop a plan of care based on daily needs and preferences.
You can also ask about payment during this meeting. We accept private payment and several Medicaid waivers. If there’s no waiver in place, we can discuss options and explain the application steps.
Before working in a home, our Direct Service Workers complete training, pass background checks, and are checked against the Direct Service Registry.
